When I hear the word “project,” I immediately associate it with arts and crafts activities. Throughout my education, I have never made a project using technology alone. After reading Module One, I became excited. I like the idea of creating a publication to explain to parents what our project is, and exactly what will be expected from the students. The publication itself can even be apart of the project if the children create it themselves. Many parents (at least at my school) do not have knowledge about, or access to technology. This would be a fun way to keep them up to date and involved in their child’s education.

After considering the research on project-based learning, it confirms how I will integrate technology in the classroom. Project-based learning ensures that students are engaged in learning by them with providing hands on, and often times collaborative assignments. Project based learning, when coupled with technology, allows students to perform a multitude of tasks while using a multitude of tools. These tools many times include, internet, web blogs, web cams, disk drives, audio equipment, and search engines.

I will integrate technology into my curriculum using project-based learning to develop new unit ideas, 21st century skills, incorporate higher-order thinking in students, and the use of technolgy to clearly present many learning activities around a big idea. Templates are a a great way to help students to focus on the content of the lesson being taught.
Students can also use to templates to work on projects more effectively by themselves. I am really excited about learning how to do this effectivly

I feel that project-based learning is very important with any grade level. Students need information that will stick with them for years to come. Using projects helps to reinforce what what ever topic is being covered. By creating projects that require the use of technology the children have the opportunity to access up to date information. In my classroom the use of technology will be ever abundant. Technology could be in the form of a teacher power point to back up my instruction or the students using publisher to create a class newsletter. My technological skills are low, but I hope to raise them upon completion of this course. By improving my skills I will be able to better improve student learning and overall success in my classroom.

After considering the research on project based learning I have discovered that I will be able to use technology in the classroom much more than I previously thought. I feel as though it is going to be much easier to track my student’s progress throughout the process of completing projects in the classroom using technology. I have also discovered that technology will make it much easier for me to show my students examples of projects that they will be working on. With the ability to research and plan for classroom projects right at my finger tips, I feel like any projects I instruct my students through will be highly successful.

After reading about project-based learning it confirms my decision to integrate technology into my classroom. I think using technology should be included in every lesson that you cover, whether it’s as simple as using MS Office software to encourage computer use or making a newsletter for a history project. As it promotes higher-order of thinking and connects to real world experiences and that in turn makes the work meaningful to students which is very important. Integrating technology into your students projects encourages them to be problem solvers, decision makers, an investigator and a documentarian. As we all know learning styles differ from student to student and by including a technology it supports the different learning styles.

After reading this module all this information has been confirmed once again that students learn best from hands on meaningful learning. I think that technology is very important to implement into my classroom since so much of your life is already so technology based teaching with it only makes since. I know that project based learning sounds hard to set up as a curriculum designers, but I think that using projects will make the students enjoy being in the classroom. All the research from the reading shows that students that are learning with a purpose do much better on assessments and retain the information easier, so projects are a great way to teach.
I will definitely incorporate technology into my classroom. I have found that there are a lot of ways to use the internet for educational games and research, but I think that this class will teach me a lot more and better ways to use technology. Technology can be an asset to learning and students enjoy using it which I already knew, but the reading really proved that it is very useful. The reading pushed projects that make the students the ones that do the work using their higher order thinking skills. This sounds great, but I don’t know exactly what to do with technology. This class should be a big help.

I believe projects of all kinds are an effective way of learning. With the current solitary video game and internet trends, tech projects open the eyes of students to additional options and allows them to collaborate with others. They gain communication and social skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. The energy and excitement as they create is extremely rewarding once they have a final product.

I will use project-based learning in my classroom because I like the idea of students being able to use hands-on activities to learn. I also like the idea of students teaching themselves using the technology and the teacher acting as the facilitator. I know that I learn best by doing activities and working in groups and feel that this will be valuable to students.

After considering the research on project-based learning, the way that I plan on integrating technology was confirmed. For me, it is important to plan. Planning means thinking about what you want to do and how you’re going to make it happen. While doing so involves many things, the mot important is the final outcome. In addition to planning, researching by using current and up-to-date educational websites helps to ensure the validity and relevancy of the research project. Lastly, looking at the work of others is a strong motivator for success. In the same way, looking at the work of others affords you the opportunity to see how other teachers integrate technology in their classrooms.

Intergrating technology into the classroom is a wonderful tool that will create a learning environment and an experience that the student will always remember. I confirm the use of it because it enhances the student's learning capabilities. The technology today such as the computers, laptops, touch-screen monitors, DVDs, TV monitors, and a host of other devises along with the software such as templates will enable me as a teacher to reach all my students on their level of understanding more effectively.

Templates make lesson planning much easier and faster, for example, lessons designed on templates can be placed on desktop of students for easy access durning center or group time. This keeps the student from "surfing the net" and wasting valuable time and you know where he/she is.

I believe such teaching techniques help spite interest in the student as well as it challenges their minds to think outside the textbook. It also enable the students to work together as a group.

Another aspect of technology in the classroom allows the teacher to assist other students who are somewhat slower learners while the more advanced students work on their own.

In my research on intergrating technologies in the classroom, I found them to be most valuable and indispensable tools.

Given the latest research on the acquisition of new knowledge, and the availability in so many schools for technology, I feel that there is no excuse not to integrate technology into our classrooms. The more recent brain research states that we all learn in different ways and sequencing is not as important for all students as we originally thought. In that, I plan to individualize my curriculum as much as possible. Teaching through projects is a necessity and easily done through technology as well. I want to use technology in my classroom in order to target the multiple intelligences as I am a big believer in Gardner's theory. Differentiated instruction is being emphasized quite a bit lately, and touching upon and integrating each content area can be done through technology with some careful planning. In today's time, it would be an injustice not to use technology in our classrooms.

The research on project based learning confirms what I have already seen in action. The school that I am affiliated with places the use of technology very high on the list of priorities. Each classroom has a smartboard, some with remotes in which students can interact with from their desks, as well as laptops available for entire classes. Working in that type of environment is extremely energizing for students and myself. When you witness project based programs being put into action and technology creativity at its best, you can see the students brighten and tune right in. At the end of the day, week, year, these are the things that they are still talking about. My goal is to learn to better understand, use and incorporate the many avenues in which technology can be taken and used.

After considering the research on project-based learning, it definitely confirms that I will integrate technology in the classroom. Music technology programs would help give the students hands on approach to writing music for instruments that they don't regularly play, themselves. Also, project-based learning would help give the students a chance to learn with each other different things about music in a fun way. The more the students are actually interested in learning about music, the more proficient they will become in music. At the same time the students are learning music, they can also be keeping up with how to use some of the latest technology.

Since I am a music major, it took me some time to realize how I could use different projects with technology in the classroom. Now I understand that when a student does a project on the computer, they are learning to create something. In essence, that is what music is all about. Music is a hands on subject to begin with, but it can be better used if a child knows the intricate details of creating something of their own. Project based learning does not only help them with music, but it helps them to be well rounded later on in life.

The research completed on project-based learning has motivated me to incorporate technology into the classroom. I learned that the more technology is used in classrooms, the more students will feel engaged. Project based learning reaches out to students with various learning strategies. It also allows students to connect with the world that is outside the classroom. This gives students a better understanding of subjects and therefore produces a higher quality of work. The use of technology encourages students to think outside the box. It allows students to relate what they are learning to global problems and experiences. In the future I will try to integrate technology into the classroom to make learning a more memorable experience.

Technology plays a vital role in today's society. It has infiltrated nearly every aspect of our lives, affecting how we learn and function. I feel teachers have to incorporate technology into their classroom, but technology alone does not teach students all they need to know. Students must gain critical thinking skills, communication skills, and the ability to work as a team. Project-based learning places students in the ideal learning environment in which they can gain these skills. When project-based learning is paired with technology, the student receives an educational experience like no other. I will integrate technology into my classroom as much as possible to enhance my students' educational experience and contribute to their future success. I look forward to what I am going to learn in this course to help me integrate technology into my classroom.

Without a doubt, we are in the age of technology. Even if you abhor the thought of using Smart Boards and flash drives in your classroom, as a teacher in the current era, you will have to embrace that fact. Technology, specifically the internet, has increased the capacity for instruction, teaching, and learning by immeasurable levels. From gathering, receiving, or exchanging information, the doors to knowledge have been knocked wide open and made easily accessible to the masses.

That in mind, it has only been further confirmed in my mind that as far as teaching goes, there is no turning away from modern technology with the intention of effectively instructing at heart. With projects, the students have the ability to gather sources first hand and search themselves, making the learning more personal in a way (in comparison to average "spoon feeding" techniques). The information available now is far more extensive, thus far more challenging in the journey to surface information, than it has ever been. I believe that causes the project based learning to allow more opportunity for the student to explore than that of the classroom environment which does not utilize the technology.

Being in elementary music, I believe there will be much better ways to present the material to the students, but the concept of integrating technology is brilliant to me. Children need to be exposed to the world's technology as soon as their able. I couldn't imagine being on a computer in elementary school doing something besides the original Oregon Trail. The technology just wasn't accessible at the time. It is a new age where computers are very easily accessible by everyone and I can only imagine where the technology trends will lead next.

After reading the research about project based learning I realized how good technology is in the classroom. It gives students and parents a great way to use numerous tools like the internet, web blogs and web cams to get a project done. Times are changing and this is a better way to instruct the students than them figuring it out on their own.

Project based learning is an important part of education. Technology is an important part of everyday life and it is important that teachers integrate technology into their classroom. Students are more interested in the content when technology based projects are used. You are also able to appeal to all the different learning styles when you involve technology in the classroom. Technology will play a mojor role in my classroom.

From what I have read and observed of the influence that technology can have on a classroom, this confirms the fact that I will utilize technology in my classroom. Project-based learning gives kids the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of different projects, such as publications and presentations, and it is a avenue through which students can express their creativity and take a break from the monotony of general class room work. The best part is the fact that students are not only completing school work, but they are familiarizing themselves with current technology as well.
